- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- Add the chicken broth, thyme, red pepper flakes (if using) and black pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes.
