Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 5 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk (optional)

Directions

  1. In a pot, combine the glutinous rice, cocoa powder, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Stir the mixture occasionally until the rice is cooked, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the salt and stir until combined.
  5. Add the condensed milk, if desired, and stir until combined.
  6. Serve warm.
