Ingredients

  • 1 rack of baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons of cedar wood chips
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup of apple juice
  • 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. Soak the cedar wood chips in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Rub the mixture evenly over the ribs.
  3. Preheat the smoker to 225°F. Place the ribs on the smoker and smoke for 2 hours.
  4. Add the cedar wood chips and apple juice to the smoker, and continue to smoke for another 45 minutes.
  5. Brush the ribs with the BBQ sauce and smoke for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
