Ingredients
- 1 package of yellow cake mix
- 1 can of pineapple tidbits
- 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pineapple, oil, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat until the ingredients are well blended.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
- To make the frosting, combine the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
