Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of shredded coconut

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, milk, sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Stir until the mixture is well blended.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the raisins, almonds, walnuts, and coconut over the top of the bread pudding.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
  6. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
