Ingredients
- 1 pound of raw, deveined shrimp, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of finely chopped ginger
- 2 tablespoons of sriracha
- 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 1 cup of panko bread crumbs
- 4 slices of white bread, cut into small squares
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil for cooking
- Salt to taste
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, sriracha, chili flakes, black pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, scallions, cilantro and salt. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Add the panko bread crumbs to the shrimp mixture and mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the vegetable oil and let it heat up.
- Add the shrimp mixture to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, until the shrimp is cooked through and the bread crumbs are golden brown.
- Add the bread squares to the skillet and cook for another minute on each side, until they are golden brown.
- Remove the shrimp toast from the heat and serve warm.
