Ingredients
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine honey and butter and mix until smooth.
- Add apples and walnuts to the honey mixture and stir until apples and walnuts are coated.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, brown sugar and oats. Mix until combined.
- Add the flour mixture to the honey mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread the mixture into a 9-inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
