Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine honey and butter and mix until smooth.
  3. Add apples and walnuts to the honey mixture and stir until apples and walnuts are coated.
  4. In a small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, brown sugar and oats. Mix until combined.
  5. Add the flour mixture to the honey mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Spread the mixture into a 9-inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
