Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup (150g) light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (45g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and brown sugar together until combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and whisk until combined.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon size portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 9-10 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
