Ingredients
- 1 loaf stale white bread, cubed
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Vanilla sauce, for serving
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the bread cubes, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, eggs, vanilla, raisins, and melted butter. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until set. Serve with vanilla sauce.
