Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 strips of bacon, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the bacon and onion and cook until the bacon is crisp and the onions are softened, about 8 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the cabbage and season with the salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve warm.
