Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking until combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, and bourbon.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  6. Fold in the flour until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
