Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the melted butter, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a log.
  7. Place the logs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the logs from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Cut the logs into 1-inch slices and place them back on the baking sheet.
  10. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
