  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 4 ounces uncooked linguine
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
  2. Add onion to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook for another minute.
  3. Add lettuce and tomatoes and cook until lettuce is wilted, about 3 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook linguine according to package directions.
  5. Combine bacon, lettuce, and tomato mixture with the cooked linguine and toss to combine.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
