Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, dark brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dry mustard, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
