Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
In a medium-sized, heatproof bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Place the bowl over a pot of gently simmering water and stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
Cut into pieces and serve.
