Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries of your choice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the berries, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon. Mix together until the berries are evenly coated. Pour the berry mixture into the pie crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, 1/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg. Pour the custard mixture over the berry mixture in the pie crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  5. Allow to cool before serving.
