Ingredients
- 2 beef tenderloin filets, about 1½ inches thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Pat the tenderloin filets dry with a paper towel and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the filets and sear for 3 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the filets to a baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached.
