  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup prepared pesto
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt


  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, pesto, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add the chopped basil and pulse until just combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired. Serve with crackers, chips, or vegetables.
