Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the butter, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a piece of parchment paper and form it into a log shape. Roll it up in the parchment paper and twist the ends to seal.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 3 days.
- When ready to use, slice off pieces of butter as needed.
