Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together tahini, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and egg until well blended.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
