2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Stir in the mashed bananas and buttermilk. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
