Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the sloppy joe mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly to form a cylinder. Secure the top corner with a dab of water.
- Repeat with the remaining egg roll wrappers and filling.
- Place the egg rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the melted butter over the tops of the egg rolls.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg rolls are golden and crisp.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
