Ingredients
- 1 loaf of Babka, cut into 1-inch thick slices
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Dip the slices of Babka into the egg mixture and let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the liquid.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add the soaked Babka slices. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked Babka slices to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the chocolate dipping sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and cream together until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
