Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry
3 potatoes, thinly sliced
4 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
1/2 cup of shredded cheese
1/4 cup of chopped chives
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry. Place the pastry on a baking sheet.
Arrange the potato slices on top of the puff pastry, overlapping them slightly.
Sprinkle the bacon, cheese, and chives over the potatoes.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Fold the edges of the pastry up and over the filling.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
Serve hot.
Interesting Facts
This recipe can easily be made vegetarian by omitting the bacon.
This tart is a great way to use up leftover potatoes.
You can use any type of cheese you like in this tart.
You can also add other vegetables such as peppers or onions to the tart.
