Ingredients
- 2 Pie Crusts (homemade or store bought)
- 6 Large Apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 Cup White Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it in a 9 inch pie plate.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, white sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Pour mixture into the crust lined pie plate.
- Roll out the second crust, place it over the filling, and crimp the edges to seal.
- Brush the top crust with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
