Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 2 plums, peeled, pitted and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the apples, plums, sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes or until the fruit is tender.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Transfer sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
