Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the cumin, chili powder, paprika, ground coriander, sea salt, and black pepper and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the black beans to the pan and cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the honey and lime juice and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Serve the beans with rice or your favorite sides.
