Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounces) red beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chiles
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, diced onions, diced jalapenos, cilantro

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, combine the red beans, black beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, green chiles, tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Season the chili with salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Serve the chili hot, with your favorite toppings.
