Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/4 cup vegan cheese, shredded
- 4 slices vegan toast
Directions
- Heat vegan butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add drained and pressed tofu to the pan and break it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in onion powder, turmeric, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Cook for another minute.
- Stir in nutritional yeast and vegan cheese. Cook until cheese is melted and everything is combined, about 2 minutes.
- Toast vegan toast. Assemble sandwiches by topping each slice with the tofu scramble.
- Enjoy immediately!
