Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup flour (rice, oat, or whole wheat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.
  2. Add the cooked quinoa, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cilantro, flour, and salt.
  3. Mix together until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 4-6 patties and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  6. Serve on a bun with your favorite vegan toppings.
