Ingredients
- 1 cup (85 g) of gluten-free rolled oats
- 4 cups (1 liter) of filtered water
- 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
- Optional: 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup (for sweetness)
Directions
- Add the oats and water to a blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes, until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or fine-mesh strainer, pressing out the liquid until all of the pulp is removed.
- Pour the strained oat milk back into the blender and add the vanilla extract and honey or maple syrup (optional). Blend on low for a few seconds to combine.
- Pour the oat milk into a glass jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
