Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of white sugar
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs

Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a small saucepan, combine 3/4 cup of white sugar, butter, and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is bubbly.
- Remove the pan from the heat and carefully pour the hot sugar mixture into a 9-inch round baking dish. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream, salt, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and the 1/2 cup of white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Slowly whisk in the cream mixture until everything is combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly browned.
- Allow to cool before serving.
