Ingredients
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup biscuit mix
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the sausage is cooked through and the onion is translucent.
- Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce and olives and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch pie plate.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- In a small bowl, combine the biscuit mix and melted butter until a crumbly mixture forms.
- Sprinkle the biscuit mixture over the top of the pizza pot pie.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
