Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped hazelnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, cardamom, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in walnuts, raisins, almonds, and hazelnuts.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
