Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup oats, toasted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast the oats in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the toasted oats.
- Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
