Preheat oven to 350°F. Rinse turkey inside and out, and pat dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and oregano.
Rub the oil mixture all over the turkey, including underneath the skin, making sure to rub some of the mixture inside the cavity.
Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°F.
Remove the turkey from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before carving.
