Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup diced onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, drained
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
1 can (4 ounces) diced green chiles
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off the fat.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and green chiles to the pot.
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve with your favorite toppings.
