Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallows, maple extract and walnuts. Stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
