Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, tahini, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
