Place sweet potatoes in a large pot, and fill with water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, and mash the potatoes.
In a medium bowl, mix together the mashed sweet potatoes, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cream, and pecans. Spread the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows over the top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until marshmallows are lightly browned.
