Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the apples.
  4. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  5. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
