Ingredients

- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water.
- Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Stir in red pepper flakes, if desired.
