Ingredients
2 acorn squash
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Cut the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
Place the squash cut-side down on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the squash from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash with a fork or potato masher.
Add the butter, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper and mix until desired consistency is achieved.
Serve warm.
