Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, cornstarch, and water.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later. Sear the chicken breasts in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until they are golden brown.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the sliced chicken over rice or noodles, drizzle some of the sauce from the skillet over the top, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
