Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, flour, butter, vanilla and salt until well blended.
  3. Stir in the walnuts.
  4. Line a 9 inch pie plate with the pastry and spoon the sugar mixture into the crust.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
