Ingredients

  • 1 package of jumbo shells
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1/2 cup of diced onions
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) container of ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 (25 ounce) jar of spaghetti sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cook jumbo shells according to package directions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onions, garlic, oregano, black pepper, and salt until the meat is no longer pink and the onions are tender.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Stuff the shells with the ricotta cheese mixture and place in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce over the shells.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until heated through.
