Ingredients
- 6 bell peppers, tops cut off and seeded
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until lightly browned. Drain off any excess fat, then add the onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked rice, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Mix until well blended.
- Fill each pepper with the beef mixture, then place the peppers in a baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce over the peppers and bake for 25 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot.
