Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine green beans, olive oil, garlic, basil, lemon zest and salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  3. Spread green beans onto a baking sheet in an even layer.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until green beans are tender but still crisp.
  5. Remove from oven and serve hot.
