- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces

- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the green beans and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender.
- Add the red pepper flakes, brown sugar, pepper and salt and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve immediately.
