Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. sushi-grade tuna, diced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
  • 4 sheets nori seaweed
  • 1/4 cup white sesame seeds, toasted
  • Soy sauce, to taste

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, and Sriracha sauce and mix until well combined.
  2. On a sushi rolling mat, place a sheet of nori, shiny side down. Spread 1/2 cup of the sushi rice onto the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top of the nori.
  3. Spread the tuna mixture over the rice, leaving a 1-inch border at the top of the nori.
  4. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the tuna mixture.
  5. Starting at the bottom of the nori, roll the sushi mat up into a tight cylinder shape. Wet the top border of the nori with water to help seal the sushi roll.
  6. Using a sharp knife, cut the sushi roll into 8 even pieces.
  7. Serve with additional Sriracha sauce and soy sauce, if desired.
